Sunday at Central begins with a "prayer meeting" in the chapel at 9:15 am, followed by one service of worship from 9:30 - 10:45 am, with Sunday School for children and adults at 11:00 am.
Our 9:30 service features both modern praise choruses led by our praise band and more traditional songs from the hymnal accompanied by the piano or pipe organ.
We include scripture readings, prayers, and a weekly sermon.
The service of worship concludes with communion, to which everyone is invited. The Lord's Supper is typically served in a formal distribution with individual cups and communion wafers. We first take a wafer and eat, to symbolize our individual relationship with Christ. We hold the cup until the end of the liturgy and share it together to symbolize our common life as a church.
Everyone is invited to share in coffe fellowship and conversation in the church Narthex after the service.
All are welcome and we hope to see you on Sunday morning!
